Biryani | Hot N Spicy Magic Gravy

Ingredients:

  1. Paneer  ( or ) Mushroom ( or ) Chicken (or) Vegetables - 250 g 
  2. Basmati Rice or seeraga samba Rice  - 400 g 
  3. Onions - 4 Nos + (1 Nos for fried onions)
  4. Tomatoes - 3 Nos 
  5. Green chilli - 5-7 Nos according to your taste buds 
  6. Coriander leaves - handful of coriander leaves
  7. Mint leaves - handful of mint
  8. Hot n spicy Magic gravy - 1 Packet 
  9. Water - 400 ml 

Pro tip: Soak the basmati rice in water for at least 15 minutes and then drain

Procedure:

  1. 1. Heat oil and ghee in a large pot or pressure cooker over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the sliced onions & green chillies and chopped tomatoes  sauté until the raw smell disappears and the golden brown color of onions. 
  3. 3. Add magic gravy to the pot or cooker over medium heat and add particular sliced paneer pieces or any particular vegetable and cook for about 2 minutes. 
  4. 4. Add soaked rice and water in the cooker and cook on low heat for about 15-20 minutes, or until rice is cooked through. If using a pressure cooker, cook for three whistles and add coriander leaves and mint leaves  then steam or heat at low flame  for 5 minutes before turning off the heat.
  5. 5. Add fried onions on top of the layer and mix it well.
