Ingredients:
- Paneer ( or ) Mushroom ( or ) Chicken (or) Vegetables - 250 g
- Basmati Rice or seeraga samba Rice - 400 g
- Onions - 4 Nos + (1 Nos for fried onions)
- Tomatoes - 3 Nos
- Green chilli - 5-7 Nos according to your taste buds
- Coriander leaves - handful of coriander leaves
- Mint leaves - handful of mint
- Hot n spicy Magic gravy - 1 Packet
- Water - 400 ml
Pro tip: Soak the basmati rice in water for at least 15 minutes and then drain
Procedure:
- 1. Heat oil and ghee in a large pot or pressure cooker over medium heat.
- 2. Add the sliced onions & green chillies and chopped tomatoes sauté until the raw smell disappears and the golden brown color of onions.
- 3. Add magic gravy to the pot or cooker over medium heat and add particular sliced paneer pieces or any particular vegetable and cook for about 2 minutes.
- 4. Add soaked rice and water in the cooker and cook on low heat for about 15-20 minutes, or until rice is cooked through. If using a pressure cooker, cook for three whistles and add coriander leaves and mint leaves then steam or heat at low flame for 5 minutes before turning off the heat.
- 5. Add fried onions on top of the layer and mix it well.
