Ingredients:
- 1 cup Wonder Mix
- 1 cup Water
- 1 cup Chopped Onions
- 2 tsp Finely Chopped Green Chilies
- ½ tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tsp Chopped Curry Leaves
- 2 tsp Coriander Leaves
- 3 tsp Grated Coconut
- Salt (to taste)
- Oil (as needed)
Cooking Instructions:
1. Prepare the Mixture:
- Heat a frying pan over medium heat.
- Add 2 tsp oil, ½ tsp cumin seeds, and allow them to sizzle.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent. Then, add chopped green chilli, grated coconut, chopped curry leaves, coriander leaves, and salt. Sauté for 2 minutes.
- Turn off the stove and allow the mixture to cool for 5 minutes.
2. Make the Batter:
- In a bowl, combine 1 cup Wonder Mix with the sautéed ingredients. Adjust salt to taste.
- Add 1 cup water and mix until the batter reaches a consistency similar to crepe batter (slightly thicker).
- Allow the batter to rest for 10 minutes.
3. Cook the Adai:
- Heat a tawa over medium heat and grease it with ½ tsp oil.
- Pour one ladle of batter onto the tawa and spread it out gently.
- Add 1 tsp oil around the edges and centre of the adai.
- Cook for 1 minute on low heat, then flip and cook the other side.
- Your Wonder Mix Adai is ready to serve.
Serving Tips:
Serve Wonder Mix Adai for breakfast or dinner with chutney or aviyal. For a nutritious twist, add sautéed moringa leaves to the batter. You can also add chopped cashew nuts for a crunchy Wonder Mix Cashew Nut Adai.
